Scholarship Program Encounter

From Friday 10th to the Sunday 12th of October scholars (Oriannys, Keily and Dayerby) and the salient coordinator Leonir and the entrant coordinator Bolivia participated in the second national encounter of scholars that was made in the congregation of Valencia. They were 18 participants of Valencia, Barinas and Barquisimeto. games, worships, stroll for the Aquarium of Valencia were made. The subject of the encounter was “Gratefulness”. Sunday finished with a special service with the participation of several scholars.

Goodbye Leonir and José

Saturday, 4th of October the Farewell of Jose and Leonir was made who were working in the Mission from the beginning in 2001. We initiated with a very flavorful lunch, soon we had games, presentation of choreographies of the girls, a goodbye service and the tribute with the appointment of the Hall the Group ORAD like Hall “Jose and Leonir”. Later we had one amused celebration that included piñata and cakes. We happened very nice time together and several times the tears ran. We had the presence of Leena Pirainen that came from Maracaibo to say goodbye too.

Stolen the San Gabriel’s car

Yesterday afternoon (Monday September 22nd) we had a meeting for planning the future work in San Gabriel. When we (Bolivia, Nancy, Rebeca, Dayerbys, Adriana, Marilyn, Leonir and José) were in the middle of the meeting 3 guys went inside the house with guns and pointing it to us asking for the money, cellphones, wallets and car’s keys. They used the car to go outside Tintin. The scare was very much but they didn’t hurt us.

NEWS: They found the car at Wednesday 24th!!! It is ok, but we have to do some repairs, a lot of papers, and wait the judge set free the car.

Pijamada

Friday 12th September, ORAD Group organized “pijamada” (sleeping one night in the Mission) with the people who attend regularly to use for the first time the ORAD Group Hall. It was one night entertain with games, film, service and a lot of humor. The “pijamada” were extended at until Saturday noon, because in the morning we played volleyball.

Summer’s Biblical School

From September 8th to Sunday 14th we had our traditional Biblical School, unfortunately by lack of resources we had to wait until this week and we did not do it at the beginning of the scholar vacations. But, everything came out well and a group of 25 people attended. Now with more space it was easier to work with the children and young. We finish with a nice service and we gave the material did in the School.

Dedication and inauguration of the ORAD Group’s Hall

After a delay by lack of materials and workers, we could conclude the construction of the hall for the activities of the ORAD Group. This ample hall was possible by the generous aid of the congregation of Riihimäki in Finland (ours biggest thanks to them). Sunday September 7th we had the dedication from the Hall at the beginning of the service. From then we have used like new area of service and activities of the young people.
We still need to paint inside and outside, but its very useful yet.

Confirmation and member admission

Sunday August 24th, we had the confirmation of Oriannys Suárez and Dayana Mujica, in addition Adriana Sivira was admitted as member of San Gabriel. With joy and their family, they did this important step to a mature faith. After the service we shared a tasty and beautiful cake.

Children’s Day

All the week before July 20th we had special recreational activities for the children. We concluded the week with a Thanksgiving service and ending that we give gifts to the children. Again we could see the smile in the face of many children.
